Nationalist Party rallies at convention

By Brandon Hurn Staters Union Chants, profanity, platforming and campaigning. These were the main elements of the Nationalist Party Convention. The evening began with an introduction of the Nationalist party candidates running for the offices of Governor, Attorney General, Treasurer, Secretary of State, and Commissioner of Insurance. Alexander Trobough, thnat2e Nationalist Governor candidate, started his speech with a song about Governor Brownback. The song seemed to be a polarizing event among those present. The conversation progressed through the various aspects of the Nationalist Party platform, as well as the specific platform of each of the individual candidates. Issues discussed included the economic situation in Kansas, social justice within the legal system, alternative sources of energy, and education. At the conclusion of the speaking, there was a final performance of the Brownback song, and the candidates were available for individual questions.]]>
