Even though freedom of the press is important to the media, censorship still has a place in their field

Have you ever thought that the tabloids on major public figures and think that this could intrude on their right to privacy? Well in the case of the media they have what is called the right to know which lets them get information on public figures and give that information to the public. The only thing is for people that aren’t a public figure to have more rights to privacy. It comes down to the freedom of the press. Which is that communication and expression through various media, be it electronic or printed, is considered a right to be freely exercised. Without freedom of press, whenever something comes out that paints someone in a negative light they could sue, or do something to get it removed and a lot less people will have seen what the person did. Even though both freedom of the press is important to the media, censorship still has a place in theirs too. Sometimes personal matters deserve to be private no matter who the person is. If there was no right to know and media was restricted then people would not be as nearly informed.
