Summit Update

After the curveball thrown in the first county summit, the counties and departments met again on Thursday morning to discuss and clarify plans. Regarding the space program, Natural Resources proposed that no money had to be set aside and that counties could still spend as they wish. They proposed that all leftover money could be put towards the space program at the end of the last operations period. Commissioner of Insurance David Drake was in support of the plan proposing the sense of accomplishment and literally going out of this world. Eventually, the counties came to an agreement on the space program, and if there is enough money left over at the end of the week, Boys State will go to space.

Also going down during the meeting was a plan to build a landfill and a regional convention center in Seitz County to benefit all counties.
